Overview

Our agile teams were working on a number of software products that CNHI’s users utilize to digitize their fleets and expand their reach in the precision farming space. We weren’t building the software from scratch, so the majority of the UX/UI work I was doing was enhancing the current experience by using existing patterns and creating new ones where it was appropriate. One of our main goals was to enhance or create responsive websites to allow for farmers to have more control of their own software experience so they’re not so reliant on their vehicle dealerships to do it for them.

Business OBjective

Our primary driver on this engagement was legal compliance. CNH Industrial had been acquiring a lot of products and was struggling to properly integrate them into their platform. So not only were we trying to create a usable digital experience that delighted users, but we also had to do it in a way that greatly increased their users’ acceptance of license agreements and terms and conditions.

Journey Mapping

The client’s product ecosystem is very complex and involves lots of different users, software, and vehicles. I worked directly with the client to create a journey map to better communicate to our agile teams where the software we’re working on fit in to the bigger picture and why it was so valuable.

UI Design

I was the lead product designer working with a software delivery team to design and implement new features in the tool.

End-User License Agreement

We had to figure out a way to quickly recapture all of their users license agreements. We came up with a quick fix to deliver a solution. The next step would’ve been to design a solution to ensure that we’re capturing license agreements in the way that their users expect.

Data Sharing and Data Management

I worked on a prototype of an experience that enabled users to have more control over how their data was shared. In the past, the users were very reliant on their vehicle dealers to have oversight into their precision farming, but this could change now that we’re creating more self-service tools.
